UPL gains on incorporating step-down subsidiary in Tanzania

UPL is currently trading at Rs. 480.00, up by 0.90 points or 0.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 479.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 478.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 482.65 and Rs. 470.00 respectively. So far 166257 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 780.00 on 17-Feb-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 452.40 on 13-Feb-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 482.65 and Rs. 452.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 35965.37 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 32.35%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 54.51% and 13.14% respectively.

UPL has incorporated new step-down subsidiary viz. Advanta Seeds Tanzania. The company has received intimation about issuance of certificate of incorporation on February 13, 2024. The step-down subsidiary has been incorporated to carry out seeds and related business. Advanta Seeds Tanzania would be a stepdown subsidiary at Advanta Seed structure under Advanta Enterprises, India in which the Company holds 86.67% shareholding.
