Tata Motors gains on reporting 27% growth in total sales in October 2026
Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 401.35, up by 5.10 points or 1.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 396.25 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 396.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 402.95 and Rs. 393.95 respectively. So far 412150 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 508.95 on 27-Feb-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 306.00 on 14-Nov-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 408.25 and Rs. 380.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 147129.11 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.51%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.68% and 19.81% respectively.
Tata Motors has reported total commercial vehicle sales of 47,652 units across domestic and international markets in October 2026, registering a 27% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) growth compared to 37,530 units sold in October 2025.
The company's domestic commercial vehicle sales increased by 13% to 39,784 units in October 2026 from 35,108 units in the corresponding month last year. Within the domestic segment, HCV Trucks sales rose 12% Y-o-Y to 12,030 units in October 2026. Besides, ILMCV Trucks sales grew 17% Y-o-Y to 7,213 units in October 2026. Passenger Carriers has recorded a growth of 20% Y-o-Y with sales of 3,826 units in October 2026, and SCV Cargo and Pickup sales has increased 11% Y-o-Y to 16,715 units in October 2026.
Further, the company's international business sales stood at 7,868 units in October 2026 as against 2,422 units in October 2025, registering an increase Y-o-Y of over three-fold. Besides, the domestic sales of MH&ICV in October 2026, was 19,263 units vs 16,624 units in October 2025 (16 % Y-o-Y). Domestic & International sales for MH&ICV in October 2026, was 20,712 units vs 17,827 units in October 2025 (16% Y-o-Y).
