Tata Motors declines on reporting 51% fall in Q4 consolidated net profit

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 704.00, down by 3.90 points or 0.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 707.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 699.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 708.00 and Rs. 686.00 respectively. So far 1316026 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1179.05 on 30-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 542.55 on 07-Apr-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 732.55 and Rs. 662.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 259093.32 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.58%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.04% and 22.39% respectively.

Tata Motors has reported 35% fall in its net profit at Rs 1,382 crore fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025 as compared to Rs 2,126 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 0.87% at Rs 20,206 crore for Q4FY25 as compared Rs 20,384 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 51.19% fall in its net profit at Rs 8,556 crore for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025 as compared to Rs 17,528 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 0.48% at Rs 1,21,012 crore for Q4FY25 as compared Rs 1,20,431 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. 

For the year ended March 31, 2025, the company has reported 31% fall in its net profit at Rs 5,452 crore as compared to Rs 7,902 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 3.01% at Rs 72,215 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 74,453 crore for year ended March 31, 2024.

For the year ended March 31, 2025, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 11.50% fall in its net profit at Rs 28,149 crore as compared to Rs 31,807 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 1.42% at Rs 4,45,939 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 4,39,708 crore for year ended March 31, 2024.
