smallcase Brings Global Equity Access To Indian Investors on Tickertape
smallcase today announced the launch of US Equities for Indian investors on Tickertape, its markets information and tools platform, expanding access to global markets for Indian investors. This will enable Indian residents to access the universe of 7000+ stocks and ETFs listed on the US markets for real-time investing.
With a completely digital workflow, it offers seamless onboarding, enabling portfolio diversification, currency exposure and access to global markets for Indian investors. Also, with fractional investing enabled out of the box, it allows investors to start with as little as $1 per stock or ETF.
The offering has been built in-line with the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) regulatory framework for global access (IFSCA Global Access Provider framework, introduced in August 2025) giving investors a clear and compliant way to invest in global markets. The platform has partnered with a IFSCA-registered Global Access Provider at GIFT City for US broking services and a IFSCA-registered payment service provider for seamless fund transfers under RBI’s Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS).
Speaking on the launch, Vasanth Kamath, Founder & CEO, smallcase said, “While global Funds of Funds and ETFs gave Indian investors an initial pathway to international diversification, the demand today is for more direct, purposeful exposure. With the new IFSCA GAP Framework, this launch helps investors craft high-conviction global portfolios using differentiated themes, geographies and commodities — with the same ease as investing in Indian stocks. We believe diversification is key to every investor’s portfolio and are excited for how our users will adopt this offering”
US Equities investing is available on the Tickertape website and apps. smallcase soon plans to bring this feature to its model portfolios ecosystem helping investors discover and invest in professionally curated global strategies.
