SJVN gains as its arm completes Trial Run of 241.77 MW capacity in Phase-I of Bikaner Solar Power Project

SJVN is currently trading at Rs. 92.77, up by 1.49 points or 1.63% from its previous closing of Rs. 91.28 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 92.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 92.95 and Rs. 89.70 respectively. So far 476250 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 159.60 on 26-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 80.50 on 03-Mar-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 96.07 and Rs. 89.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 36401.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 81.85%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.52% and 11.63% respectively.

SJVN’s wholly owned subsidiary -- SJVN Green Energy (SGEL) has achieved a significant milestone with successful completion of Trial Run of 241.77 MW capacity in Phase-I of 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project on March 31, 2025. The said capacity is currently under operation and is all set to achieve COD on April 02, 2025. 

This project, with a total planned capacity of 1,000 MW, is slated for full commissioning by September 30, 2025. Upon completion, SGEL shall supply the generated solar power to three states namely Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand.

The 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project is poised to make a substantial contribution to India’s target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and align with the company’s shared vision of becoming a 25,000 MW company by 2030 and 50,000 MW by 2040.  

SJVN’s principal business activity is electricity generation. The company is also engaged in the business of providing consultancy.
