Observations

USDINR trading range for the day is 95.31-95.57.

Rupee ended modestly weaker weighed down by dollar outflows linked to derivative maturities and overseas debt repayments.

India’s July annual inflation also rose to 4.45%, but remains unlikely to prompt a rate hike from the central bank in the coming months.

India’s trade deficit widened to $31.98 billion in July 2026, up from $27.5 billion in the same month of the previous year and surpassing market forecasts of $30.2 billion.

Spain's annual inflation rate was revised slightly higher to 3.6% in July 2026 from a preliminary estimate of 3.5% and June's reading of 3.2%

GBP dropped as investors balanced resilient UK economic data against persistent geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East.

Britain's economy unexpectedly grew in June with gross domestic rising by 0.3%, official data showed.

UK Residential Market Survey showed that the house price balance edged up to -30% in July 2026 from -32% in June.

 

JPYINR

Observations

JPYINR trading range for the day is 60.08-60.08.

JPY steadied but keeping traders on alert for further intervention from authorities amid persistent weakness.

Japan’s producer prices rose 7.2% year-on-year in July 2026, easing slightly from a marginally revised 7.3% increase in the prior month.

Some policymakers called for speeding up the pace of rate hikes to combat inflation risks.
