Rupee trade flat against dollar on Friday
Indian rupee is trading flat against dollar on Friday amid a weak American currency overseas and positive cues from the domestic equity markets. Local unit opened 1 paise higher as compared to previous close. However, foreign fund outflows limited the upside. According to the provisional data available on the NSE, foreign institutional investors (FII) offloaded shares worth net Rs 7,702.53 crore on October 26, 2023. On the global front, the dollar retreated as US Treasury yields dropped from their record levels after US GDP data, durable goods sales orders, as well as home sales numbers exceeded the estimated growth.
The partially convertible currency is currently trading flat at its previous close of 83.25 on Thursday. The currency touched a high and low of 83.2525 and 83.2225 respectively.
