Rupee little changed against US dollar on Wednesday
Indian rupee little changed against the US dollar on Wednesday tracking firm domestic equities and a weaker American currency against its major rivals overseas. However, fears over the conflict in the Middle East and foreign fund outflows have capped the gains in rupee. Foreign Institutional Investors were net sellers in the capital market as they offloaded shares worth Rs 1,005.49 crore on Tuesday, exchange data showed.
The partially convertible currency is currently trading at 83.24, stronger by 1 paise from its previous close of 83.25 on Tuesday. The currency touched a high and low of 83.2425 and 83.2000 respectively.
