Registration for Amarnath Yatra 2024 begins in Jammu

 Registration for the 52-day-long Amarnath Yatra 2024 began nationwide on April 15. The Yatra will commence on June 29 and will conclude on August 19. Registration has started for both Baltal and Pahalgam routes. It is being done at 316 branches of Punjab National Bank and overall nearly 600 branches in other banks across the country. All the registration processes are going on as computerised and biometric-based. People in large numbers visited the banks and submitted their forms with health certificates for registration. Pilgrims from 13 years and above and below 70 years are allowed for the Yatra. NRI pilgrims can also register for the Yatra through the Punjab National Bank. Amarnath Shrine Board also provides insurance coverage for the pilgrims.
