REC gains as its arm incorporates wholly owned subsidiary

REC is currently trading at Rs. 357.30, up by 3.60 points or 1.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 353.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 353.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 358.45 and Rs. 352.90 respectively. So far 218062 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 450.35 on 25-Mar-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 331.10 on 18-Dec-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 358.45 and Rs. 339.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 94229.92 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.63%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.73% and 14.64% respectively.

REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary named Vizag Power Transmission, on February 16, 2026. Vizag Power Transmission has been incorporated for Transmission system for proposed Green Hydrogen/ Green Ammonia projects in Vizag area, Andhra Pradesh (Phase-I).
