Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu reveals plans to establish Delhi into a major international aviation hub

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu spoke to ANI on January 23 from Davos, Switzerland where he is attending the World Economic Forum 2025 and said that India, with its strategic location and rapidly growing domestic aviation sector, stands as the third-largest domestic aviation market globally.
Speaking further, he said that leveraging this potential, the country is poised to establish a major aviation hub, and Delhi emerges as an ideal candidate. With its capacity to connect various domestic destinations and serve as a transit point between the East and West, Delhi holds immense promise.
“India is strategically located and domestic aviation is also growing. We are the third biggest domestic aviation market in the whole world. So with that potential, India has to have its own major aviation hub and Delhi has that kind of potential to connect to different domestic places in the country itself and also cater as a transit hub for the East and the West. So in that area, we are trying to speak to the aircraft operator and also kind of facilitate for more transit network in the airport itself. And we have a plan that within two years we want to establish Delhi as a major international aviation hub. We are talking with the airlines also so that more connections come into that place”, said Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu.
