Benchmark indices continued their positive momentum. Nifty closed 181 points higher, while Sensex gained 595 points. Among sectors, IT outperformed, gaining nearly 2 percent. Despite strong momentum, select real estate and defense stocks witnessed intraday profit-booking.

Technically, after a gap-up open, the market maintained positive momentum throughout the day. On the intraday charts, the market continues to remain bullish, supporting further upside from current levels.

For trend-following traders, 25775/84300 and the 20-day SMA (Simple Moving Average) or 25700/84000 would act as key support areas. As long as the market trades above these levels, the bullish sentiment is likely to continue. On the upside, the market could move towards 26000/84800. Further gains could take the index to 26100/85000.

On the other hand, if the market dips below the 20-day SMA or 25700/84000, sentiment could change. Below this level, traders may consider exiting their long positions.
