"Indian equities ended on a subdued note on December 1, 2025, as persistent intraday volatility kept overall sentiment cautious. At the close, the Sensex slipped 64.77 points, or 0.08 percent, to 85,641.90, while the Nifty declined 27.20 points, or 0.10 percent, to finish at 26,175.75. Market breadth remained negative, with 1,783 stocks advancing, 2,288 declining, and 183 unchanged.

The Nifty 50 touched a fresh all-time high of 26,325 during the session but encountered selling pressure, pulling back below 26,200 by the close. The index now faces key resistance at 26,300–26,400, and a breakout above this range could pave the way for a move toward 26,500. Immediate supports are placed at 26,150 and 26,000. As long as the index holds above the 26,000 mark, a buy-on-dips approach continues to remain constructive.

Bank Nifty also recorded a new historic high at 60,144 before giving up gains to close at 59,681. On the downside, support zones are positioned at 59,500 and 59,300, with the broader bullish structure staying intact as long as the index sustains above 59,000. On the upside, resistance levels are seen at 59,830 and 60,100, which will be critical for the next directional move.

Volatility edged slightly higher, with India VIX rising 0.06 percent to 11.62, indicating a mild uptick in fear and a reduction in risk appetite. Derivatives data showed noticeable call writing at the 26,250 strike and strong put interest at 26,150, reflecting a tight near-term range. A sustained close above 26,300 will be essential to reignite bullish momentum in the sessions ahead."
