The market is expected to open higher today following a positive trend in the global markets. Asian markets traded higher, while the US stock market ended overnight with modest gains with the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average touching new closing highs. US stocks rose Monday, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 eked out record closes, extending a winning streak on Wall Street. Investors looked to Federal Reserve speakers and a key inflation reading for clues to the odds of another big rate cut. Oil prices rose on Tuesday on concerns the intensifying conflict between Israel and Hezbollah may impact supply in the key Middle East producing region and a tropical storm may impact output in the U.S., the world’s biggest crude producer, later this week.

As per provisional figures, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/ Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs.404.42 crore and Domestic institutional investors bought shares worth net Rs.1022.64 crore on 23rd September 2024.

Dow Jones Futures were down 81 points, indicating a negative opening in the US stock market today. Asian markets followed Wall Street higher on Tuesday, buoyed by hints from Federal Reserve policymakers suggesting further interest rate cuts and growing optimism about China's impending stimulus measures. Investors are now eagerly awaiting the release of the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge and US personal spending data on Friday.
