The benchmark Sensex and Nifty indices are likely to open on a negative note on April 25 as trends in the GIFT Nifty indicate a weak start for the broader index with a loss of 61.50 points.

Nifty can find support at 22,300 followed by 22,250 and 22,200. On the higher side, 22,450 can be an immediate resistance, followed by 22,500 and 22,600.

The charts of Bank Nifty indicate that it may get support at 47,900, followed by 47,700 and 47,500. If the index advances, 48,200 would be the initial key resistance, followed by 48,300 and 48,500.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) net sold shares worth Rs 2,511.74 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought Rs 3,809.90 crore worth of stocks on April 24, provisional data from the NSE showed.

INDIAVIX was flat to positive by 0.78 percent and is currently trading at 10.2750.

We anticipate a sideways market today, with the Nifty trading between 22300 and 22500 levels, coinciding with the monthly expiry. Expect individual stock movements influenced by quarterly earnings reports.
