The benchmark Sensex and Nifty indices are likely to open higher on April 23 as trends in the GIFT Nifty indicate a firm start for the broader index with a gain of 32 points.
Nifty can find support at 22,300 followed by 22,200 and 22,150. On the higher side, 22,450 can be an immediate resistance, followed by 22,500 and 22,550.
The charts of Bank Nifty indicate that it may get support at 47,700, followed by 47,500 and 47,400. If the index advances, 48,200 would be the initial key resistance, followed by 48,400 and 48,500.
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) net sold shares worth Rs 2,915.23 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought Rs 3,542.93 crore worth of stocks on April 22, provisional data from the NSE showed.
INDIAVIX was Negative by 5.63 percent and is currently trading at 12.7000.
The US market ended positive yesterday. Indian markets also closed above the initial resistance of 22300 indicating strength. Today Nifty can trade sideways in a range where 22500 levels will act as a resistance and 22200 will act as a strong support.
