The Nifty exhibited a neutral performance with high volatility throughout the day after a gap down opening. Bank nifty also encountered volatility during its weekly expiry, concluding the session above the support levels of 47400 levels. 

The market has traded negative with the Sensex loosing 0.62 percent and closed at 72943.68 and Nifty was Negative by 0.56 percent intraday and closed at 22147.90 levels whereas Bank Nifty closed Negative, down by 0.60 percent and settled at 47484.80.

Among sectors Nifty AUTO, Nifty PHARMA and Nifty FMCG ended in green while Nifty IT, Nifty PSU BANK and Nifty METAL ended on the lower side. In Nifty stocks, EICHER MOTORS, DIVIS LABS and TITAN were the top gainers while INFYY, INDUSINDBANK and WIPRO were the prime laggards.

INDIA VIX was Positive by 1.12 percent intraday and settled at 12.61. 

Index has a support around 22100-22000 zone.  Coming to the OI Data, on the call side, the highest OI observed at 22400 followed by 22500 strike prices while on the put side, the highest OI is at 22000 strike price. On the other hand, Bank nifty has support at 47200-47000 while resistance is placed at 47800 and 48000 levels.
