Nifty continues to drift lower but the pace of decline has certainly slowed down, leading to a positive divergence between the technical parameters and price action.
Nifty has fallen for eight consecutive trading session and the decline can continue to extend until there is a positive daily close.
Historically, such an observation is usually followed by an up-move. Further, October series starts with an all-time low long-short ratio of 0.06 for FIIs in index futures. Historically, such low levels have coincided with a sharp reversal in the Nifty.”
