Odisha`s Minister discusses preventive measures to tackle lightning strikes in state
Odisha's Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management, Suresh Pujari, expressed concern in an interview with ANI about the rising number of deaths in the state caused by lightning strikes. Discussing the government's preventive efforts, he mentioned that there are plans to plant 2 million palm trees across the state.“The number of deaths in Odisha due to lighting strikes are increasing...As a preventive measure, 20 lakh palm trees will be planted by the forest department across Odisha...We will make sure that 20 lakh palm trees are planted across all vulnerable points in Odisha”, said Suresh Pujari.
