NTPC Green Energy rises on inking pact with Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company

NTPC Green Energy is currently trading at Rs. 99.95, up by 1.50 points or 1.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 98.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 101.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 103.00 and Rs. 99.30 respectively. So far 42829 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 155.30 on 04-Dec-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 96.20 on 24-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 108.50 and Rs. 96.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 82957.22 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 89.01%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.46% and 3.53% respectively.

NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company (MPPGCL) on February 24, 2025 at Global Investors Summit, 2025 held in Bhopal.

This MoU envisages to collaborate in the field of Renewable Energy through setting up of Projects comprising of Solar/Wind/Hybrid with or without storage up to 20 GW or more in Madhya Pradesh. MPPGCL and NGEL shall jointly work for the formation of a Joint Venture Company (JVC) to meet the Renewable Generation Obligation (RGO) of Madhya Pradesh Generating Company and Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) of Madhya Pradesh DISCOMs.

NTPC Green Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, a ‘Maharatna’ central public sector enterprise. The company is mainly engaged in the activity of developing, building, owning, operating and maintaining utility scale grid connected solar and wind power projects (through O&M operations and in-house engineering).
