Grasim Industries surges on getting nod to raise funds up to Rs 1,000 crore

Grasim Industries is currently trading at Rs. 2554.85, up by 30.90 points or 1.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 2523.95 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 2570.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2570.95 and Rs. 2513.80 respectively. So far 5135 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2875.45 on 26-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2175.00 on 04-Jun-2024.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2631.20 and Rs. 2512.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 173309.84 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.11%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.69% and 23.10% respectively.
Grasim Industries has received approval from Finance Committee of the Board of Directors for issuance of Fully Paid, Unsecured, Listed, Rated, Redeemable, Rupee denominated, Non-Convertible Debentures of Rs 1,00,000 per Debenture aggregating up to Rs 1,000 crore, in one or more tranches, on private placement basis.
The Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on June 02, 2025 has approved the same.
Grasim Industries is a flagship company of Aditya Birla Group. The company’s businesses comprise viscose staple fibre, cement, chemicals and textiles. Its core businesses are VSF and cement, which contribute to over 90% of its revenues and operating profits.
