NSA Ajit Doval meets Russian President Putin in Moscow, conveys`words of gratitude from PM Narendra Modi`
President Putin met with top officials from India, China and Iran in St. Petersburg on sidelines of BRICS meeting. During meet, President Putin held a bilateral meet with NSA Ajit Doval and held discussions over bilateral issues. Russia President proposed to hold a bilateral meeting with PM Modi on October 22, on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan. During his visit to Russia, Ajit Doval is likely to hold discussions regarding peace process in the region. The meeting of BRICS and BRICS Plus High-Level Security Officials is being held in St. Petersburg from September 10-12. Doval's visit to Moscow comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Russia and Ukraine in the past two months. PM Modi has emphasized the need for peaceful resolutions of conflict and said ‘India is not neutral and we have chosen the side of peace’.
