Ministry of Mines Pavilion at IITF 2024: `Minerals to Milestones`

The Ministry of Mines is set to inaugurate its Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024 at the ITPO, Pragati Maidan, with the theme “Minerals to Milestones.” This theme highlights the crucial role of minerals in India’s progress towards a developed future. The Pavilion will be inaugurated on 14th November by Hon’ble Union Minister of Coal and Mines, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, along with Hon’ble State Minister of Coal and Mines, Shri Satish Chandra Dubey.

The Pavilion features interactive activities, including a quiz on mining, a Virtual Reality tour of underground mines, a Gesture Gaming Zone, and a Dinosaur Fossil Extraction game for younger audiences. Nine organizations, including Hindustan Zinc, NALCO, Hindalco, and the Geological Survey of India, will showcase their contributions to India’s mining sector.

Adding a touch of sustainability, JNARDDC will set up a plastic bottle recycling machine and collect cans for recycling. Visitors participating in this initiative will have the chance to win exciting prizes and coupons as part of the recycling drive.

The Ministry of Mines invites all visitors to explore the Pavilion from 14th to 27th November to gain insights into India’s mining heritage and sustainable practices as the nation journeys from “Minerals to Milestones.”
