LIC HFL strengthens commitment to Social Enterprises at IRMA Startup Demo Day
LIC Housing Finance, the largest housing finance company in India reaffirmed its commitment to social entrepreneurship by supporting the LIC HFL - IRMA Social Trailblazer Program Cohort 3, which concluded with a two-day Startup Demo Day at iHub, Gujarat on March 19-20, 2025. Organized by IRMA’s Incubator for Social Enterprises and Entrepreneurs Development (ISEED), the event provided a vital platform for social enterprises working in rural development, agricultural innovation, and sustainability to connect with investors and industry leaders.
LIC HFL has been actively backing the Social Trailblazer Initiative in partnership with IRMA ISEED Foundation. Over the past two years, the initiative has successfully incubated 47 startups, equipping them with mentorship, networking opportunities, and seed funding was given to a total of 23 startups. This initiative aligns with LIC HFL’s broader commitment to CSR-driven social innovation, rural development, and inclusive economic growth.
In 2025, the program received an overwhelming 300+ applications, out of which 57 startups were selected for an intensive Boot Camp. Following rigorous mentorship and evaluation, 31 startups advanced to incubation, and 24 investment-ready enterprises pitched before a Grand Jury over the two-day event.
The event witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including Smt. Radhika Rastogi (Principal Secretary, Govt. of Maharashtra), along with esteemed LIC HFL leadership: Shri. Tribhuwan Adhikari (MD & CEO), Mr. Akshay Kumar Rout (Chairman, CSR Committee), Mr. Ramesh Adige (Independent Director, CSR Committee), and Mr. A. Gopakumar (Joint General Manager, CSR & ESG). Other notable industry figures included Mr. Arun Raste (CEO, National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange), Mr. Hiranmay Mahanta (CEO, iHub Gujarat), and senior faculty members from IRMA. The event commenced with a felicitation ceremony recognizing distinguished guests, followed by panel discussions and keynote speeches that emphasized the role of CSR in fostering innovation and sustainable development.
