Larsen & Toubro gains as its business unit partners with EVR Motors

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 4092.20, up by 46.40 points or 1.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 4045.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4059.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4105.50 and Rs. 4045.00 respectively. So far 37076 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4440.00 on 24-Feb-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3288.65 on 23-Mar-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4,138.95 and Rs. 3,840.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 564406.65 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 62.35% and 37.65% stake respectively in the company.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) business unit -- L&T Electronic Products & Systems (LTEPS) has entered into a strategic partnership with global electric propulsion technology company EVR Motors, to jointly develop, manufacture and deploy next generation EV traction motors for the Indian market. The collaboration brings together L&T’s deep engineering, systems integration and manufacturing expertise with EVR Motors’ breakthrough traction motor technology. The partnership aligns with Government of India’s Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.

LTEPS and EVR Motors will work closely to industrialise advanced traction motor solutions optimised for Indian operating conditions, including high efficiency, compact packaging and reduced reliance on rare earth materials. The collaboration will cater to multiple vehicle segments - from two- and three-wheelers to passenger and commercial vehicles - supporting original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) meet evolving performance, cost and localisation requirements.

The traction motors are proposed to be manufactured at LTEPS’s state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Together with indigenously designed Motor Control Units, the traction motors will offer customers a complete EV drivetrain solution.
