As Durga Puja fever is all over the city of joy Kolkata, Jagat Mukherjee Park’s Durga Puja pandal stands out this year for its unique recreation of Kolkata metro, blending artistry with innovation. It has recreated the iconic Howrah Maidan station from Kolkata's East-West Metro Line as this year’s Durga Puja pandal. Artisans built a life-like metro coach complete with wide windows, grip handles, and a slowly vibrating effect to mimic an underwater ride. The pandal also features escalators and a stunning idol of Maa Durga in a red saree, placed on a lotus. The deities Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ganesha, and Kartikeya sit on a boat in front of her, creating a mesmerizing scene. The pandal has become a major attraction for visitors, blending tradition with modernity.
