Speaking about Khelo India Games, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on March 06 said Khelo India winners, runners-up and medal-winning athletes will now be eligible for government jobs.
He said, "...Khelo Indian winners, runners-up and medal-winning athletes will now be eligible for government jobs. From today onwards, the medal winners in Khelo India Youth, University, Para and Winter Games will be eligible for government jobs. Additionally, games and events have been clearly defined to ensure inclusivity across various sports...PM Modi always wanted this and we are grateful to him for letting this happen..."
