• RVNL: The company received Rs. 903 crore order from SJVN Thermal for construction of a permanent rail siding and aerial track connection for the 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project in Bihar.

• TEXMACO RAIL: The company received two domestic wagon orders worth Rs. 131.36 crore. Appointed Shibu Mathews as CFO with effect from September 5, 2026

Economic News

• Private sector capex rebounds 7% in FY25 to Rs 30.3 lakh crore, signaling renewed investment momentum: Private corporations’ capital expenditure (capex) rose 7% YoY to Rs 30.3 trillion in FY25, with investment in fixed assets such as machinery, equipment and intellectual property showing a strong recovery from FY24. Private non-financial corporations accounted for 30.4% of total GFCF, while households remained the largest contributor at 43.7%, driven mainly by investments in dwellings and structures. Machinery and equipment constituted 30.6% of total fixed investment, indicating a continued focus on productive capacity, although the recovery in corporate investment remained concentrated among infrastructure-linked sectors rather than being broad-based.

Global News

• Dollar slips as yen strength and global rate-hike bets challenge the greenback: The U.S. dollar remained under pressure despite rising Fed ratehike expectations, as Middle East tensions and higher oil prices raised concerns over broader inflation and the possibility of synchronized monetary tightening globally; meanwhile, a stronger yen amid rising BOJ hike bets, U.S. debt concerns and policy uncertainty weighed on the greenback, with markets pricing a ~57% chance of a September Fed hike and awaiting U.S. inflation data for further direction.

Government Security Market:

* The Inter-bank call money rate traded in the range of 5.10%- 4.35% on Friday ended at 5.00%.

* The 10 year benchmark (6.94% GS 2036) closed at 6.9625% on Friday Vs 6.9446% on Thursday

Global Debt Market:

Treasury yields eased in early trade Friday, with investors awaiting the latest nonfarm payrolls and unemployment data, due later, as the U.S.. inflation and interest rate backdrop comes under closer scrutiny following recent bond market jitters. Traders are closely watching August’s big nonfarm payrolls report and unemployment print — both due at 8:30 a.m. E.T. Economists polled by Reuters expect an increase of 56,000 jobs for the month, following a surprise 23,000 dip in July. Meanwhile, unemployment is forecast to hold steady at 4.2%. Friday’s release comes on the heels of a lower-than-expected ADP print Wednesday, which showed private U.S. companies added 38,000 workers in August, lagging expectations of 47,000. With rising bond yields and renewed inflation risks in sharp focus in recent days, investors also have one eye on a raft of fresh inflation data, due out next week, as markets look for signals into the Federal Reserve’s latest interest rate decision on September 15-16. Vice President JD Vance on Thursday called on the Fed to cut interest rates to make homes more affordable.

10 Year Benchmark Technical View :

The 10 year Benchmark (6.94% GS 2036) yield likely to move in the range of 6.9525% to 6.97% level on Monday.
