Keralam becomes the first state to create a dedicated Artificial Intelligence Ministry
On heading state's first-ever Department for Artificial Intelligence, Keralam Minister P. K. Kunhalikutty says, “In the technology area, Kerala has always been a pioneer, consistently taking pioneering first steps. Take Keltron, for instance—it was a first-of-its-kind initiative in India. We intend to give this new department absolute priority, which is precisely why it was created. This forward-thinking approach has been our hallmark in many areas, such as the start-up ecosystem, which we originally pioneered. However, it has not scaled as rapidly as in some other Indian states. We want to become highly competitive and exceptionally investment-friendly. Moving forward, we are going to take many more decisive steps. Industrial growth can only happen if we prioritise technology. We understand that emerging technology will always disrupt older, conventional systems. Therefore, we must remain highly competitive and continue to prioritise technology. That is exactly what we are going to do.”
