Karnataka Bank jumps despite reporting 8% fall in Q4 consolidated net profit

The Karnataka Bank is currently trading at Rs. 200.05, up by 4.50 points or 2.30% from its previous closing of Rs. 195.55 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 195.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 201.90 and Rs. 195.95 respectively. So far 155354 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 245.00 on 29-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 162.20 on 04-Mar-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 208.25 and Rs. 192.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7596.73 crore.
The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.04% and 68.97% stake in the company respectively.
Karnataka Bank has reported 7.97% fall in its net profit at Rs 252.37 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 274.24 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 2.55% at Rs 2686.69 crore for Q4FY25 as compared to Rs 2619.97 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On consolidated basis, the bank has reported 7.95% fall in its net profit at Rs 252.62 crore for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025 as compared to Rs 274.43 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 2.30% at Rs 2680.10 crore for Q4FY25 as compared to Rs 2619.97 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
For the year ended March 31, 2025, the bank has reported 2.60% fall in its net profit at Rs 1272.37 crore as compared to Rs 1306.28 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 6.92% at Rs 10283.12 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 9617.42 crore for year ended March 31, 2024.
For the year ended March 31, 2025, on the consolidated basis, the bank has reported 2.58% fall in its net profit at Rs 1272.84 crore as compared to Rs 1306.61 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 6.92% at Rs 10283.17 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 9617.47 crore for year ended March 31, 2024.
