JSW Energy gains on commissioning 85 MW of renewable energy capacity

JSW Energy is currently trading at Rs 521.30, up by 1.55 points or 0.30% from its previous closing of Rs 519.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 519.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs 525.60 and Rs 519.65 respectively. So far 4841 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52-week high of Rs 776.35 on 12-Nov-2024 and a 52-week low of Rs 419.10 on 17-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 536.50 and Rs 511.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 91338.38 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.27%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.69% and 7.05% respectively.

JSW Energy has successfully commissioned 85 MW of renewable energy capacity, with solar capacity of 74 MW (Including part of NHPC Hybrid Project) and wind capacity of 11 MW taking the installed capacity to 13,295 MW. The share of renewables in the overall capacity stands at 57% constituting wind capacity at 3,720 MW, solar capacity at 2,286 MW and hydro capacity at 1,631 MW.  

JSW Energy has total locked-in generation capacity of 30.5 GW comprising of 13.3 GW operational, 12.5 GW under-construction across thermal and renewable, 150 MW under acquisition hydro and has pipeline of 4.6 GW. The company also has 29.4 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through hydro pumped storage projects of 26.4 GWh and battery energy storage system of 3.0 GWh. The Company aims to reach 30 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY 2030 and achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
