Indian Overseas Bank Enables Online Donations for Kashi Vishwanath Temple

Indian Overseas Bank has launched an online facility for donations to Shree Kashi Vishwanath Mandir Trust. This initiative marks as a significant milestone for the bank towards embracing technology to preserve and enhance the sanctity of the cultural heritage site.

 

On the sidelines of the online facility launch, the bank has opened its first saving bank account for the Shree Kashi Vishwanath Mandir Trust at Varanasi Cantonment to facilitate donations to the temple. Devotees who wish to donate online can visit the bank’s website- https://www.iob.in/ or can also opt for NEFT/RTGS transfers to the Mandir Trust's Savings Bank account.

 

Commenting on this initiative, Mr.Ajay Kumar Srivastava, MD & CEO at Indian Overseas Bank, said, “This initiative reflects our commitment and dedication towards supporting sacred institutions and preserving our rich cultural legacy. In our endeavour towards constantly providing seamless banking services to customers across the world, we are happy to launch this new service as well for all the devotees who wish to donate to Kashi Vishwanath Mandir Trust.”

 

Furthermore, donors can also avail the benefits of income tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, for their contributions.
