Briefing about the Exchange program between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan on October 09, Ministry of External Affairs Secretary (ER) Dammu Ravi during a Press Conference said that both nations have agreed to elevate strategic partnership. He added that a proposal to set up an Indian Industrial park in Tanzania to provide vocational training facilities to youth is also being looked upon. “India-Tanzanian relations have registered good progress in recent times which is why today's visit is very significant that both sides have agreed to elevate the relationship to that of a strategic partnership. We are also exploring new areas of cooperation, including trade in local currencies and also the proposal to set up an Indian industrial park in Tanzania and provide vocational training facilities for Tanzanian youth so that it creates greater employment opportunities for them,” said Dammu Ravi.
