ICICI Prudential AMC gains on getting nod to acquire PMS business of ICICI Securities
ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company is currently trading at Rs. 3047.30, up by 20.00 points or 0.66% from its previous closing of Rs. 3027.30 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 3030.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3054.30 and Rs. 3021.65 respectively. So far 3312 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3609.85 on 29-May-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2528.90 on 22-Dec-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3,098.00 and Rs. 3,021.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,50,007.46 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 87.60%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.76% and 2.65% respectively.
ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company (ICICI Prudential AMC) has secured approval for acquisition of portfolio management services (PMS) business from ICICI Securities by way of a slump sale, as a going concern, together with the assets and liabilities pertaining thereto. The Board of Directors of the company, at its meeting held on August 10, 2026, has approved the same.
The Board has also approved the execution of the business transfer agreement between the company and ICICI Securities for the same. ICICI Securities is a wholly owned subsidiary of ICICI Bank, the promoter of the company. The proposed acquisition would enable the company to broaden its existing portfolio management services offerings.
The transaction is expected to be completed within a year, subject to approvals as required to be obtained under applicable laws, and the cost of acquisition is determined by independent valuer at 1.20% of the actual AUM to be transferred. The Assets Under Management (AUM) under PMS business of ICICI Securities is Rs 29.10 billion as on March 31, 2026.
