National : iGRiD, a D2C everyday consumer startup brand at a profitable stage with a YoY growth of 100%, anticipates to double the growth for the next year. The brand is headquartered in Hyderabad and was conceptualized in late 2018. Speaking on the growth Madhav Kota, Founder & Director, iGRiD quotes, “I very firmly believe that the Indian shoppers understand that if they look around hard enough, they will discover what they want. That is the beauty of Indian retail; Nothing, however, is more rewarding than a well-priced buy that lasts a long time. We intend to be India’s everyday consumer brand.” According to a recent RedSeer report, the number of middle-income purchasers in India's 2+ cities and towns will increase in five years, accounting for more than 80% of the country's population. Kota adds “I, myself, come from a tier 2 city and can claim that the expansion of Indian E-commerce will be fueled by value-conscious shoppers from India's smaller cities and villages. We have doubled our revenues YoY for the last 2 years now. We intend to expand our product range from the current 75 SKUs to 300. We are looking to add more SKUs in the verticals that we are present. Also, we are aiming at increasing our revenues by more than 200% this financial year”
