Hindustan Petroleum Corporation surges on reporting 26% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation is currently trading at Rs 403.00, up by 6.10 points or 1.54% from its previous closing of Rs 396.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 395.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 405.00 and Rs 392.55 respectively. So far 208590 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52-week high of Rs 457.20 on 05-Sep-2024 and a 52-week low of Rs 287.55 on 03-Mar-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 414.05 and Rs 378.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 85740.61 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.90%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.11% and 8.98% respectively.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation has reported over 18.02% rise in its net profit at Rs 3354.98 crore for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025 as compared to Rs 2842.75 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the total income of the company decreased by 2.66% at Rs 119126.13 crore for Q4FY25 as compared Rs 122386.14 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 26.06% rise in its net profit at Rs 3415.44 crore for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025 as compared to Rs 2709.31 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the total income of the company decreased by 2.50% at Rs 119047.95 crore for Q4FY25 as compared Rs 122100.30 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. 

For the year ended March 31, 2025, the company has reported 49.88% drop in its net profit at Rs 7364.86 crore as compared to Rs 14693.83 crore for the previous year. However, the total income of the company increased by 1.02% at Rs 468762.09 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 464019.66 crore for year ended March 31, 2024.

For the year ended March 31, 2025, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 57.94% drop in its net profit at Rs 6735.70 crore as compared to Rs 16014.61 crore for the previous year. However, the total income of the company increased by 1.06% at Rs 468811.53 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 463886.08 crore for year ended March 31, 2024.
