HCL Technologies soars on planning to set-up AI Data Center in Odisha Sovereign AI Park

HCL Technologies is currently trading at Rs. 1270.00, up by 25.15 points or 2.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 1244.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1240.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1275.50 and Rs. 1235.20 respectively. So far 3005443 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1770.00 on 03-Feb-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1030.00 on 01-Jul-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1,275.50 and Rs. 1,204.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 342844.45 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.88%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.67% and 5.44% respectively.

HCL Technologies is planning to set-up its first AI Data Center in the upcoming Odisha Sovereign AI Park. The AI Data Center will be established in partnership with Sarvam and the Government of Odisha. The planned capital outlay for the project will be Rs 14,257 crore, including financial assistance from the Government of Odisha. In this regard, the company has inked memorandum of understanding with Government of Odisha and Sarvam. 

This investment will boost India’s sovereign AI play and local developer ecosystem by leveraging the company’s full-stack AI capabilities and Sarvam’s foundation models to offer sector-specific AI applications to private and public sector enterprises and address the government’s sovereignty needs. It will also contribute to delivery of multi-lingual AI based services to the last mile, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clarion call of AI for the benefit of everyone.

India is the among the fastest growing technology markets globally and a growth market for the company. The country’s data center ecosystem is on a rapid growth trajectory, driven by strong demand from a vibrant digital economy, data localization and critical infrastructure needs to support GPU deployments for AI training and inference workloads.

Earlier, the company had entered into the full-stack AI market to address the complete spectrum of full-stack business opportunities arising from growing demand for AI-led services and solutions across private sector and government.
