From security to improved medical assistance, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath briefs on preparedness for Mahakumbh Mela

Soon after reviewing the preparedness for the upcoming Mahakumbh Mela 2025, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath held a press conference in Prayagraj and talked about the developments regarding the improved irrigational and security facilities made for the smooth conduction of the fair such as the irrigational department’s plan to stop polluted water entering the holy river assuring that the devotees will get the chance to witness the riverfront for the first time. 
Apart from this, he also briefed about health department’s blueprint to build a temporary hospital of 100 beds which will provide healthcare access and preliminary treatment to the pilgrims during the much awaited fair. “I came here to review the works that are in progress regarding Kumbh... Uttar Pradesh Jal Board and Irrigation Department are working to ensure darshan of clean Ganga. Works are being done to ensure to avoid polluted water from entering into the river... For the first time, people will witness the Ganga riverfront. It is expected to be ready by December 30... The Health Department has built a temporary hospital of 100 beds... For the first time, pilgrims will get to see the tableau of Prayagraj”, said Yogi Adityanath. The Mahakumbh held once every 12 years, is scheduled to begin on January 13 and conclude on February 26, 2025. The main bathing festival, known as the "Shahi Snan" (royal baths), will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami).
