Former UTI Pension Fund CEO Balram Bhagat joins The Wealth Company as Managing Partner – Products & Pension
The Wealth Company, part of Pantomath Group, today announced the appointment of Mr. Balram Bhagat as Managing Partner – Products & Pension. Mr. Bhagat, a veteran of the pension and mutual fund industry brings over three decades of experience in building financial institutions, promoting pension adoption, and advancing financial inclusion. As part of ongoing expansion strategy, this appointment encompasses both strengthening of leadership and talent pool as well as broadening of its product suite. At The Wealth Company, this reflects the growing focus on building institutional depth, enhancing execution capabilities, and supporting the next phase of scalable growth across investment offerings and distribution channels.
Mr. Bhagat previously served as CEO & Whole-time Director of UTI Pension Fund Ltd., where he was the founding CEO and played a pivotal role in scaling the organization into India’s third-largest pension fund, managing assets of over Rs.4,00,000 crore under the National Pension System (NPS). Under his leadership, UTI Pension Fund earned multiple national and international accolades for excellence in pension fund management, governance, and innovation.
Before leading UTI Pension Fund, Mr. Bhagat held key positions at UTI Mutual Fund, including Head – Product Sales, where he spearheaded socially focused schemes and micro-pension initiatives. Mr. Bhagat also led state-level financial inclusion programs such as the Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojna, broadening access to financial literacy and savings products across underserved communities.

Mr. Balram Bhagat holds an M.A. in Economics, MBA (Marketing), and CAIIB. He served as Director & CEO of UTI Pension Fund Ltd. and Member of PFRDA's Pension Advisory Committee. He currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of LIC Mutual Fund
