Flock of painted storks seen in White Lotus Pond of Tamil Nadu`s Thoothukudi
Painted storks in large numbers have arrived at White Lotus Pond located in Srivaikuntam Kasba, Thoothukudi District in the monsoon season. Due to the rains in the area, the pond is filled, and fish and small insects are abundant in the water bodies. This has become a feeding ground for Painted Storks and other waterfowl.
