Exide Industries rises on investing Rs 65 crore in Exide Energy Solutions
Exide Industries is currently trading at Rs. 384.00, up by 3.35 points or 0.88% from its previous closing of Rs. 380.65 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 380.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 386.20 and Rs. 380.00 respectively. So far 44026 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 474.85 on 30-Oct-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 327.95 on 07-Apr-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 400.95 and Rs. 378.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 32661.25 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.34% and 24.67% respectively.
Exide Industries has invested Rs 65 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary -- Exide Energy Solutions (EESL). The company has made the investment by way of subscription in the equity share capital of EESL on rights basis. With this investment, the total investment made by the company in EESL stands to Rs 3,947.23 crore.
EESL is in process of setting up a green field plant at Bengaluru for manufacturing and selling lithium-ion battery cells, modules and pack business. The said investment is to fund this green field project and meet various funding requirements.
