EPL shines on investing Rs 150 crore in EPL Brasil

EPL is currently trading at Rs. 227.00, up by 7.85 points or 3.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 219.15 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 224.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 237.80 and Rs. 224.65 respectively. So far 238424 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 289.70 on 04-Dec-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 175.50 on 07-Apr-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 237.80 and Rs. 218.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7240.21 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.42%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.68% and 45.90% respectively.
EPL has invested an amount of Rs 150 crore (equivalent to $1,69,87,542.47) in EPL Brasil, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, for acquisition of additional shares. The current investment by the company in EPL Brasil is towards acquisition of its around 96,337,471 equity shares.
This investment is expected to have a favourable impact on EPL Brasil’s financial outlook. The formalities with respect to this investment are expected to be completed by August 31, 2025. The company will continue to hold 100% of the shareholding of EPL Brasil, after this additional investment.
