EPL jumps on inking pact to acquire 49% stake in Clean Max Aria

EPL is currently trading at Rs. 239.10, up by 6.25 points or 2.68% from its previous closing of Rs. 232.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 234.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 240.90 and Rs. 229.55 respectively. So far 138874 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 240.90 on 12-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 169.85 on 05-Jun-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 240.90 and Rs. 225.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7617.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.50%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.27% and 24.23% respectively.

EPL has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions (Clean Max) and Clean Max Aria (CMAPL), whereby the Company will acquire 49% equity shares of CMAPL from Clean Max. The company has entered into SPA on July 11, 2024 with Clean Max and CMAPL.

The objective of acquisition is to develop a captive power generation facility in the State of Maharashtra having a wind capacity of 3.3 MW and solar capacity of 3.3 MWp DC (2.2 MW AC); and in the State of Gujarat having a hybrid capacity of 3.3 MW (3.3 MW Wind and 2.15 MWp Solar), for the plants of the company situated at Vasind, Wada (Maharashtra) and Vapi (Gujarat), respectively.

EPL is the largest specialty packaging global company, manufacturing laminated plastic tubes catering to the FMCG and Pharma space.
