Elgi Equipments gains on inks pact to acquire 18.01% stake in Constronics Energy Solution
Elgi Equipments is currently trading at Rs. 634.60, up by 3.55 points or 0.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 631.05 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 637.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 639.35 and Rs. 621.50 respectively. So far 33216 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 641.55 on 20-Aug-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 408.95 on 21-Jan-2026.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 641.55 and Rs. 603.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 20063.51 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.19%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.03% and 36.78% respectively.
Elgi Equipments has entered into a Share Subscription and Shareholders’ Agreement and Power Purchase Agreement with Constronics Energy Solution (SPV) to acquire 18.01% of share capital. Cost of acquisition is Rs 1.62 crore. The proposed investment envisages procurement of renewable energy for the consumption of the company over a tenure of 25 years with an objective of long-term tariff visibility and optimisation of power costs.
