EAM Jaishankar surprises UK PM with a special gift on Diwali, a cricket bat signed by Virat Kohli
EAM S Jaishankar, his wife Kyoko Jaishankar celebrated Diwali with UK PM Rishi Sunak, on Nov 12. Rishi Sunak along with First Lady Akshata Murty hosted the duo at 10 Downing Street. On the occasion, S Jaishankar gifted a cricket bat to Rishi Sunak signed by Indian batting great Virat Kohli. Taking to X, EAM Jaishankar shared an image of Rishi Sunak holding the bat. Sunak congratulated PM Modi on Team India’s dazzling performances in the ongoing Cricket World Cup. The External Affairs Minister is currently on a 5-day official visit to the United Kingdom. During his UK visit, EAM S Jaishankar celebrated Diwali by offering prayers at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in London. The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is Europe’s first authentic and traditionally built Hindu temple.
