Drone footage captured the Eternal City at its finest during the Christmas season. Visuals showcase Rome’s eco-friendly transformation as it embraces festive spirit ahead of the Jubilee Year, beginning Christmas Eve Day. Shining with sustainable decorations, Via del Corso dazzles with a two-kilometre canopy of low-energy lights. It featured 49 water drop motifs symbolizing the preciousness of the resource and glowing globes representing global unity. The designs echo the Jubilee’s themes of hope and togetherness. Outside historic centre, illuminated projections brighten landmarks in suburban neighbourhoods, spreading festive cheer all across. Some 32m tourists are expected to descend on the Italian capital for the Jubilee, which normally occurs once every 25 years.
