Devotees perform puja at Iskcon Temple in Srinagar on the occasion of Maha Shivratri
A pooja was held at the Iskcon Temple in Srinagar on the auspicious event of Maha Shivratri on March 8. The atmosphere was filled with the sounds of devotional songs as devotees performed rituals and offered holy water, milk, and flowers to Lord Shiva. Maha Shivratri, which translates to ‘the great night of Lord Shiva’, is considered one of the most auspicious festivals in the country. It is celebrated annually with much fervour across the country.
