Market Commentary

Overnight global action was negative : Yesterday, U.S. markets were negative with S&P 500 down by -44 pts (-0.69%), Dow Jones was down by -249 pts (-0.55%) and Nasdaq was down by -184 pts (-0.79%). India VIX was up by ~0.77%. GIFT Nifty is trading negative at ~24,626 (-40 pts, -0.16%) indicating Indian markets will open negative.

Yesterday, advance decline ratio on NSE was 1,927 : 1,116 and BSE was 2,439 : 1,705, which showed strength in the overall markets.

Index Options Data Analysis:

Sensex max call OI is at 81,000 and max put OI is at 80,000 with PCR of 0.67

Nifty max call OI is at 24,600 and max put OI is at 24,550 with PCR of 0.90

Bank Nifty max call OI and max put OI both are at 54,000 with PCR of 0.83

Metal : Nifty metal index was up by +0.85%, top gainers were National Aluminum (+4.89%), NMDC (+4.71%) and Hindustan Copper (+2.07%).

Oil & Gas : IGL (+2.97%), GAIL (+2.03%) and GSPL (+1.74%) lead the Nifty oil and gas index by +0.62%

Auto : Nifty auto was down by -0.29% with TI India (-2.89%), M&M (-2.33%) and Tata Motors (-0.85%) among the laggards.
