Daily Market Analysis : The markets traded sluggishly and ended slightly lower, extending Friday`s pause Says Mr. Ajit Mishra, Religare Broking Ltd
Below the Quote on Daily Market Analysis by Mr. Ajit Mishra – SVP, Research, Religare Broking Ltd
"The markets traded sluggishly and ended slightly lower, extending Friday’s pause. After an initial uptick, the Nifty moved within a narrow range before closing at the 24,619 level. Sector-wise, a mixed trend persisted, with metal and IT sectors posting gains, while FMCG and auto ended in the red. Broader indices, however, continued their upward movement, advancing between 0.2% and 0.53%.
A pause in the index following the recent recovery is a healthy sign, providing an opportunity to accumulate quality stocks on dips. Sectorally, selective participation is emerging across segments, except for FMCG. Traders are advised to align their positions accordingly and avoid a contrarian approach."
