CRISIL zooms on getting nod to acquire 4.08% stake in Online PSB Loans

CRISIL is currently trading at Rs. 5744.00, up by 218.40 points or 3.95% from its previous closing of Rs. 5525.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 5550.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 5782.25 and Rs. 5525.60 respectively. So far 4767 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5782.25 on 13-Dec-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3665.10 on 25-Jan-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 5782.25 and Rs. 5197.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 41939.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.92% and 13.44% respectively.

CRISIL has received approval from board of directors for investment in the equity capital of Online PSB Loans (OPL) of an amount of Rs 33.25 crore, to acquire a 4.08% stake in it, on post-money, fully diluted basis.

The investment is subject to negotiating the definitive shareholders’ agreements, closing of the offer process and executing necessary documentation. This is a minority stake investment to participate in the digital credit infrastructure ecosystem given OPL’s proven track record in partnering with leading financial institutions in this space. In addition, there may be opportunities to partner with OPL in areas related to MSME and agriculture sectors. This investment is expected to be completed within 45 days from the execution of the definitive shareholders’ agreement, subject to mutually agreed extensions amongst the parties.
